  • The Len Price 3 New Album Pictures

"Rock and Roll doesn't need saving, the cure's right here." - David Fricke,
    Rolling Stone

PICTURES is third album from The Len Price 3, and like their previous,
critically acclaimed records, this album is brimming with epic songs that
capture the electricity of the band's live shows. However, the band has
managed to enhance tracks on PICTURES with different arrangements and more
varied instrumentation than they've utilized on previous albums.

With their 2007 album RENTACROWD, and debut for Wicked Cool Records, The Len
Price 3 again earned triumphant reviews from USA Today, Rolling Stone, and
MTV.  Meanwhile, the band won over a growing throng of fans with their
Medway, UK signature tunes: cuts teeming with an onslaught of hooks and a
    raw 60's garage sound.

PICTURES is a set of musical snapshots about people the band have
encountered and it's filled with observations about the light and dark parts
of the modern world.  "I'm just reporting things that I've seen, heard about
or been involved in," says Glenn Page (singer and guitarist). "I suppose
it's the confessions of a voyeur."

  • A word from Len Price

    Evenin' All

We thoroughly enjoyed our sojourn in the Emerald Isle. Big thanks to Mr VeeZee and our comrades at Wicked Cool for sorting out the instore performance at Tower Records. We had a fine old time indeed. The morning of the show will rank as one of my most unusual Sunday mornings. We were having some photos taken outside Tower Records for the artwork on the new album. Picture the scene. The LP3 are on their backs in a busy shopping thoroughfare. A man on a step ladder is taking photos of us from above, with Mr VZ directing. A large throng of about 100-150 people are gathering around to stare at MR VeeZee, get photos and autographs etc... and there is a squadron of seagulls circling with menace overhead, waiting to crap on our heads.

Sincere thanks are extended to our stablemates, the Urges for the loan of their gear at Tower Records and for the idle chat & laughs that we were able to share at Toner's and before / after the Tower Records do. Surly on the surface but cuddly puppies underneath - although they don't (to my knowledge) chew on your slippers and piss on the furniture. They are splendid fellows to a man! Cheers lads!

A thousand thanks also to Nick for sorting out the gig at Toner's the night before and to the Bloody Shanks for the lone of the gear. We had a good laugh and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was only our second gig with Dan playing keys and harp and despite the fact that he was heavily medicated, he came through again with flying colours.

Last, but by no means least - Good work Goucher for escorting us to a decent boozer after Tower Records. Another charming fellow and excellent company. Thanks mate!

It was pretty groovy being back in the saddle again after a long lay off and we're eagerly looking forward to coming to a neighbourhood near you soon to make a bleedin' racket.

In other news, the release date for the new album has slipped back to 15th September. All the music is done, we're just trying to sort out some artwork that we're happy with. Hopefully with these new photos, we are just a gnat's away!

    All the best you lot!

  • Crown of Thorns "Faith" OUT NOW

Crown of Thorns "Faith" OUT NOW + June 17th NYC Show
Little Steven Van Zandt adds another imprint to his rock and roll adventures with the launch of Lost Cathedral. The new label will focus on hard rock releases and will debut with the latest offering from internationally acclaimed rock band Crown of Thorns titled Faith in stores June 9. The disc marks Crown of Thorns' first domestic release in the United States ever in the band’s career.

"Wicked Cool was formed as a Garage Rock label – traditional Rock and Roll – so when people see Wicked Cool they know what kind of music to expect," explains Little Steven Van Zandt. "Hard Rock is Garage Rock’s first cousin having come directly from the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Yardbirds, and the Who and we’ve been getting a lot of harder stuff sent to us lately, a lot of it quite good. With the opportunity to release the legendary Crown of Thorns new record, we decided it's time for a new label."

Lost Cathedral takes music fans out of the garage and into the arena where musicianship and bigger production is king. Lost Cathedral will be run by the same executive team responsible for sister label Wicked Cool Records led by Chairman and Founder Steven Van Zandt of HBO's "The Sopranos" and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band fame; Jean Beauvoir, CEO, Renegade Nation; John Luongo, Label Manager; and Scott Hueston, VP Sales & Marketing.

Beauvoir does double duty not only as a label executive but as a creative force as singer/songwriter/producer of Crown of Thorns' new release Faith. The disc brings back the trademark Crown of Thorns sound that established the band as a rock powerhouse, still keeping intact all the elements of infectious guitar riffs, soaring hooklines, and great melodies. Beauvoir collaborated with Bob Clearmountain (Bryan Adams, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band) in the recording sessions for Faith as well as Mark Plati (David Bowie) for the mix -- resulting in the best sounding Crown of Thorns album yet.

Crown of Thorns FAITH is a solid collection of rock tunes that brings back the trademark sound that established the band as a global force to be reckoned with and keeps intact all the elements of infectious guitar riffs, soaring hooklines, and great melodies. All songs on FAITH were written and produced by frontman Jean Beauvoir except "Rock Ready" which he co-wrote with bassist Michael Paige, "Living In The Shadows" co-written with guitarist Tommy Lafferty, and "Motorcycle Loretta," a featured bonus track co-written with Steven Van Zandt. The CD's mystical undertones are culled from Beauvoir's voodoo heritage. His Uncle is internationally renowned Voodoo Priest Max Beauvoir, the inspiration behind the film and subject of the book "The Serpent and The Rainbow." (Wade Davis and Wes Craven).

"Over the years I've incorporated elements of Voodoo spirituality in my music. With FAITH I tapped into my heritage and brought the symbolism and meaning behind Voodoo into the forefront both in image and feeling. I wanted fans to experience the energy and electricity through the music," explains Jean.

Adds Stevie Van Zandt: "This event will showcase the band's rockin' live show. Crown of Thorns' style comes out of the '70's and '80's Classic Melodic Hard Rock genre but Jean's voice is more versatile than most and has to be because his songwriting covers a wider range than the genre can hold. From his most intimate whispered vignettes filled with personal torment, to his vast epic sci-fi post apocalyptic movie vistas, his songs capture you and transport you to another time and place. And the band is great enough to communicate the magic and majesty of every emotional nuance."

"The last Little Steven's discovery for his great record label, Wicked Cool, are this norway girls that looks that they can be one night without problems on Bada Bing but with this "all girls group" garage pop bands indescribable charm: sharp guitars and melodies, well administer farfisas and even vocal harmonies that remember us B52's (and also a falsetto Rolling Stones)...
